By using Night Sky Copilot (nightskycopilot.com), a service operated by JBL Group LLC, you agree to these terms. They exist mainly to make one thing clear: forecasts are guidance, not guarantees.

Forecasts are guidance, not guarantees
Night Sky Copilot aggregates public space-weather, weather, and astronomical data and turns it into location forecasts and optional email alerts. Upstream sources can lag, go offline, or be wrong; our processing can introduce errors of its own. The sky does what it wants. Do not treat any verdict on this site as a certainty, and do not rely on it for safety-critical decisions.
1. The service
Night Sky Copilot provides aurora, meteor shower, moon, dark-sky, and related planning information, plus optional email alerts and optional live sighting reports. Every number on the site depends on upstream sources we do not control. Timestamps and freshness indicators show when data was last updated — check them.
2. Email alerts
Alert subscriptions are free and optional. You must confirm your email before we send alerts. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every message. Delivery depends on third-party email infrastructure and is not guaranteed.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial planning. You may not scrape, overload, or abuse the service; submit automated or fraudulent sighting reports; or attempt to access non-public endpoints, other users' data, or systems without authorization.
4. No warranty
The site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JBL Group LLC and the operators of Night Sky Copilot are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site, forecasts, alerts, or related content.
6. Intellectual property
Site design, copy, and original presentation are owned by JBL Group LLC or its licensors. You may not copy substantial portions of the site for republication without permission. Upstream data remains subject to its providers' terms.
7. Data sources and attribution
Forecast inputs include NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center feeds, Open-Meteo weather data, and local astronomical calculations (astronomy-engine). Agency names identify sources and do not imply endorsement of Night Sky Copilot. See our methodology page for details.
8. Third-party links and services
The site may link to third-party resources. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
9. Changes and availability
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice, including data sources, features, pages, and alert delivery. We have no obligation to maintain availability of the site or any specific data.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where JBL Group LLC, the operator of Night Sky Copilot, is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
